Weddings

If you are planning to be married in the next year or two, do consider having a Church Wedding, there is nothing quite like it.   Every Anglican Clergy person is a Registrar in his or her church and every person in this country can get married for the first time in their Parish Church if they choose to, without having to apply for a licence.   These days many people who are  re marrying also chose a church wedding and as Christians we firmly believe that our God is a God of second chances.

So contact the Vicar in the first instant if you are considering a wedding at Holy Trinity, a very special and exciting venue for your great day.

Practically,  the church seats up to 150 people very comfortably, it is warm and comfortable, a bright and welcoming setting for a wedding, and there is lots of  parking in the towns car parks, with setting down and picking up space for the Bridal cars  right outside the door.   The church yard, although used by two local cafe's, one being Norman's Cafe from "Last of the Summer Wine"  also provides an interesting local backdrop to some of your Wedding photos.

There is no doubt that if you are married at the Parish Church you will be the centre of attention, it is located right in the heart of the community.

But even if you are wanting a small, intimate ceremony it could be the place for you, there are no lower limits for numbers at a Christian Wedding, like everywhere else we need a bride and groom and two witnesses and the colour of the dress and the number of guests is entirely your choice!    Indeed as Holmfirth is full of wonderful coffee bars, cafe's and restuarants it would be the perfect place for a smaller celebration, as well as having a large room and a kitchen available for home made parties.
