Baptism

Baptism is the way that Jesus himself and after him the early church welcomed people into the family of God.   Baptism is a sacrament, which means that it is an outward sign of something which happens in reality in the spiritual realm.

It is the initiation into the Christian Church and is a common link, like the other Sacraments between all the Christian denominations.   In Baptism water is used, either on the head or even in some places by full immersion.

In the Anglican Church, water is sprinkled on the head from the parish font.

All enquiries for Baptism should be made in the first instance with the Vicar by utilising the contact form.
